It is quite common among bridal couples to choose a wedding location off the beaten path. Mallorca offers quiet, intimate locations away from the bustle of mass tourism. In this case, the luxurious finca-hotel “Sa Rotana” was the couple’s first choice, located in the Eastern centre of the island. In this region, the climate is rather mild, resulting in a wonderfully green landscape despite the heat of summer.
When I arrived on the day of the wedding, the bougainvillea were in full, colourful bloom. At the Finca, the welcome I received was extraordinarily warm. The staff is incredibly friendly.
On this wonderful summer day, the bridal couple celebrated a really very special wedding. The secular marriage had already taken place. The couple was not mainly interested in the exchange of the rings or saying “I do”, what was really close to their hearts was their reception with their beloved friends and family.
The couple reaffirmed their union under the open sky. One of the best friends of the bride and groom was overcome with his long-planned oratory, which ended up a bit on the lengthy side. However, I have rarely heard a more heartfelt, sincere, and especially funny speech.
“Sa Rotana” has its own golf course. I was able to capture the joyful wedding party on the green toward the end of the reception. Thank you again to the entire party for letting me be a part of this joyous occasion.
